This striking contemporary work of art is from the Serie l’automo. With this work Caroline Serton focuses on human intervention in nature. She shapes the tension between culture and nature by combining industrially manufactured materials with conventional drawing materials. As in nature, her work is a process of organic growth and death. Ultimately, the right concentration of shape and color is created layer after layer. Description Technique: Gouache, chalk, pencil, lacquer, glue and paper collage Carrier: Mixed technique on paper, attached with cloth on hardboard in metal frame.

Caroline Serton is a renowned Dutch Artist. She trained at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Her work has been included in various museums and government collections. Caroline Serton has been selected for her oeuvre for the Biennale Internazionale dell’Arte Contemporanea.
